An informative look into our history and how things were a few hundred years ago.

Fort Whoop Up used to be fantastic! However, since the Galt has taken over it has gone downhill. The Fort Whoop Up I remember was jam- packed with energy, details and information. The Canada Day celebrations were amazing, First Nation's cooking, canon, BBQ, music and a mock gun fight. However this year and last's celebrations were definitely disappointing. The only thing that is still the same is the carriage ride. The Fort is now bare, lacking artifacts, details and life!

Fort Whoop Up offers some great local history, and many events throughout the year. The surrounding river valley is a great place to explore, enjoy a hike, picnic or see wildlife. Well worth stopping in to learn more about Lethbridge.
