  During my husbands last week of school he needed to focus and study for his final exams, and that included after hour study sessions. He asked Pet City if they could help him out and one of the employees took Gunner home with her for the week. She sent my husband pictures to show what he was up to, asked for permission to take him to the dog park, and was a huge help in letting my husband get some time to study.

  My husband was plunked into school in Lethbridge for 2 months, and we live about 9 hours north, so he would be away from home alone and wanted to take our dog Gunner with him to keep him company. After much research we came across Pet City.

  I had called Pet City to acquire a dog trainer because my dog had signs of aggression. After hiring their dog trainer we had over 300.00 in vet bills which were not covered. The trainer thought it would be a good idea to to throw my aggressive dog in our back yard with his German Shepard unleashed and uncontrolled. Of course they got into a fight, which resulted in my dog getting 4 stitches and a major infection. They phoned and promised me they would make it right but after 1 month of no word, no more training, and no coverage on our vet bills, we decided to hire another trainer. In less than a week we had our dog out and socializing with other dogs.

  We called pet city to watch our two cats for a week by stopping in twice a day to feed them and let them out. we were leaving on a monday morning and asked them to feed the cats a handful of dry food that evening and the next morning and so forth until we returned, and warned them that our older cat had bowel problems and we would leave no-bleaching cleaners out so they could clean it up. When we returned from our trip our carpet was bleached from the cleaners they told us they brought and our little kitten's food dish was leveled to the top (she did not need that much food she was six months old) and now our 14 year old male ducks everytime we go to pet him as if we are going to hit him when we have never hit any of our cata before. our bill also charged us for the morning we left and the evening we returned and when we fought to get our refund they said we were not allowed to use their services ever again, not that we would anyways

  They visited our cat daily at home while we were on holidays..fed him...scooped the litter. Didn't have to find him a kennel.

  The first day my husband dropped Gunner off, he was just so excited. He called me saying its such a nice place, the employees are friendly and welcomed Gunner with open arms and we knew this place would be amazing. The first week Gunner was there we were sent a report card home on him, explaining that he was well behaved, very playful, and had a great temperament with the other pups. This was great to see because it was our first experience with him really socializing with other dogs.

  Well a few weeks in and Gunner would be waking us up at 6:30, an hour before we were supposed to get up, because he was sooo excited for day care. He wagged his tail the entire drive over and literally sprinted to the kennel when we got out. He LOVED it.
