    I am so grateful a friend suggested I switch my insurance to Co-operators. The staff at Merriman are quick to respond and every one of them has been a pleasure to deal with. My rates went down substantially from what I had been paying and when I had a sewer back-up claim this year, they were immediately on it. The adjustor was wonderful to work with and the payout was fair and came quickly. The only hold-up in the process was me not getting forms back to them instantly. Great company!

    I have been a customer for I beleive 2 years. In that time I had never really asked anything of the company nor did I make a point of calling their office very often (maybe a few times in the 2 years). In december of 2016 I for the first and only time forgot that I had a payment coming out of my bank account and natrually I was penalized an NSF charge. Now I am a student and at the time in question was right in the middle of my finals along with trying to get ready for christmas. Unfortuanely, it just slipped my mind. I called their office to find out what would happen and was adv that they would attempt to take the payment again in a couple of days which they did. I made sure the money was in the account as well. I was not informed at the time to expect an NSF charge from them. Now the total fee that I was penalized between the cooperators and my bank was 75 dollars on a 28 dollar payment. The portion belonging to the cooperators was 25 dollars and change. I find it difficult to beleive that the cost incurred by the company was equal to what my payment was. I personally think a penalty charge corresponding to 90% of the missed payment is outrageous. I called the copperators to see if there was any chance they could provide me with a one time exception given that it was in 2 years the first and only time it had happened. I explained that I am a student and was right in the thick of things with finals and christmas and that it just totally slipped my mind. It was explained to me that I need to be accountable and that although life sometimes gets complicated its not their problem. Moreover, the individual I spoke with was quite rude to me saying that they were not there to bark up trees for me even though I had never asked anything of them previously and had for all intense and purposes been a good customer for 2 years. After this expereience I will never do buisness with this company again. I am going to be cancelling my account just as soon as my contract permits and I will switch agencies. They will not only loose my business but all future business I might have brought to the company. It was explained to me they would rather loss a customer than refund 25 dollars to someone who had been a good customer one time. Would not recommend to anyone find a different company to do busness with.
